Everybody wants a beautiful, natural-looking, symmetrical smile. Thanks to the continuously developing dental technologies, ceramic veneers became the excellent tool for the aesthetic correction of incisors. With veneers, we can put an end to the irregularity of your teeth as far as their colour, shape and position are concerned.

How it’s made?

We are making ceramic veneers by involving our dental technician. Before starting to prepare our patients’ teeth for replacement, we always have intensive discussions with our clients regarding their demands and expectations. Then, we find out if all conditions are in place for having veneers and whether they are indeed a good solution for the patients. The determination of the tooth shade is of paramount importance especially when the veneers won’t cover all the incisors.

Using ceramic veneers, we may achieve outstanding aesthetic results. The process requires nothing but a small material sacrifice from the tooth surface facing the lips. The veneer is perfectly aesthetic and it doesn’t contain any type of metal, thus it won’t provoke any allergic reaction. Following the preparation, we make the tooth print which then allows the dental technician to make the matching ceramic veneer. The preparation of the teeth and the veneers is the crucial step of the technically sensitive adhesive procedure.

After having the patient’s teeth slightly polished, we stick temporary veneers on their surface so that the client won’t suffer from tooth sensitivity or any other inconvenience during everyday usage. This transitional solution is present until the next consultation, when the final ceramic veneers will be glued on the original teeth. Ceramic veneers are cemented in a similar way to the adhesive technique of pressed ceramic inlays.

FAQ about veneers

Veneers can be direct or indirect. Direct/composite veneers can be manufactured in just one visit. These veneers are made of the same material as composite tooth coloured fillings, and are layered onto the teeth.

Indirect veneers are made in two visits. During the first one the tooth surfaces will be shaped, and an impression will be taken of your teeth which will be sent to the dental lab. They will make your veneers in a few days, and you can wear a temporary until then.

Main advantages of using indirect veneers are:

• longer lasting result (composite veneers has to be changed in few years time)

• e.max looks more natural, like your original teeth

• higher aesthetics, especially good for front zone

• less tooth re-shaping required (less sensitivity)

Not because of using veneers, but teeth of course can be damaged due to mechanical effects, like an accident, fall ect.

Usually a normal ceramic veneer last between 5-10 years. The composite variant's lifetime is less up to 3 years. At least regular (yearly) polishing is needed. Decay: if the veneer is prepared correctly, there is no extra risk of suffering later decay. But decay can occur if the oral hygiene is poor. With using ceramic veneers the risk is much lower.

Sure. Ceramic veneers look much more natural. From composite there are less color-versions available. When using composite veneers you have to sacrifice more natural tooth material to be able to bond the composite to your tooth-surface.

No. We usually offer veneers only for the front zone, 6 or maximum 8 veneeres per arch /upper and lower jaw/ . The other teeth can be whitened (professional teeth whitening - Beyond Polus Advanced).
